What We’ve Been Doing:
We have continued our work to provide you with modified programming and resources throughout the COVID-19 crisis by working with the community to make masks, partnering with other organizations for food and mask distributions, as well as moved to a new home.

By the numbers: More than 2,000 masks distributed to the community. 225+ Gift cards given for groceries. Distributed over 400 bags of food. Over 200 school and art supplies gifted to families. Assisted 75 households with full rental assistance. 95 households with partial rental assistance.

Para Los Niños is proud to partner with the Somali Parents Education Board, La Roxay Productions, Lake Burien Presbyterian Church, Highline School District, Big Brothers Big Sisters Puget Sound, and the Highline Area Food Bank to assist during the COVID-19 crisis through food distribution.

A special thanks to Professor Kristyn Joy of Highline College — this would not have been possible without her. She is a strong community leader and worked hard throughout this pandemic to ensure adults in the community could finish their English classes and graduate. We are continuing the monitor the situation and will follow CDC guidelines. Visit the King County website to get more information about testing, mental health resources, food assistance, and more.

Hemos continuado nuestro trabajo para proporcionarle programación modificada y recursos durante la crisis de COVID-19. Hemos trabajado con la comunidad para hacer mascarillas, estamos colaborando con otras organizaciones para distribuir alimentos, mascarillas y también nos mudamos a un nuevo hogar.
