Successful Closing of the 2025 Summer Program of Para Los Niños de Highline

With great joy, we celebrated the successful closing of the 2025 Summer Camp of Para Los Niños de Highline, which brought together more than 100 children and youth from the Highline School District, from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Over the course of a month, participants enjoyed a wide variety of activities: music, art, dance, sports, field trips, swimming, and outdoor games—filling each day with smiles and unforgettable memories.

Hazel Valley Elementary School became a vibrant space, where songs, folk dances, basketball, soccer, and reading came together to help children discover their talents and develop their artistic, athletic, and social-emotional skills.

Activities in King County parks promoted teamwork, focus, and inclusion among children from diverse Latin American cultures, strengthening bonds of friendship, camaraderie, and problem-solving.

Each field trip was an experience full of excitement and discovery!

At the Pacific Science Center, children and adults explored the evolution of science through time, sparking a greater interest in knowledge, from ancient astronomical tools to cutting-edge advances in artificial intelligence. Each exhibit sparked curiosity, conversation, and a deeper appreciation for the scientific world. Meanwhile, at Sky Zone Trampoline Park, they challenged themselves to overcome their fear of heights and took on fun obstacles—all in a safe, dynamic, and stimulating environment.

The program concluded with great enthusiasm thanks to a special artistic presentation that featured a folk dance El Toro Mambo and a moving song led by the renowned Paula Madrigal, musical director of the Northwest Orchestra, and performed by the children for their parents and families.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this unforgettable experience possible, especially our sponsors King County and Kikeys Cafe.

See you next year at our 2026 Summer Camp!
